AlQa'dah 24, 1433, Oct 10, 2012, SPA -- The Cultural Attache of the Saudi Embassy in London Dr. Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Muhanna Abalkhail confirmed today that, following the decision of the UK Border Agency to withhold visas for foreign students studying at London Metropolitan University, affecting some 2800 foreign students among them more than 300 Saudi students, the task team set up by the Office managed to successfully settle the cases of 338 Saudis affected by the decision, securing seats for them in 22 universities in London and outside the British capital. In a statement, he said the task team, led by Dr. Mohammed Al-Ahmadi, Director of Educational Affairs Department and Dr. Mohammed Nojoom, Director of Academic Affairs Department, was working day and night to this end since the the issuance of the decision in August 2012. Some students were offered more than one choice, he added. Abalkhail paid tribute to the support extended to this issue by ambassador Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz and Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari.
