Hasan Jaabor Al-Hazmi, a Saudi student on scholarship to the Australian university of Grivets, Queensland state, was elected member of the university"s senate, an unprecedented position for a Saudi student abroad, officials said. Dr. Mohammed bin Ali Al Hayaze, Director of the University of Jazan, said the selection of a Saudi student to this prestigious position would definitely contribute to smoothly forward the needs and requirements of the university"s students to its highest decision-making body. He said the student has received congratulations from the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid Al-Anqari, the Saudi ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Hasan Talaat Nazer and senior embassy staff members on the title. --SPA
