AlQa'dah 22, 1433, Oct 8, 2012, SPA -- A 6.3-magnitude earthquake shook Indonesia's Moluccan islands on Monday but there were no immediate reports of damage, dpa quoted the geophysics agency as saying. The quake struck at 8:51 pm eastern Indonesia time (1200 GMT). The epicentre was located 145 kilometres south-east of Central Maluku, at a depth of 10 kilometres, according to the Meteorology, Geophysics and Climatology Agency. There was no threat of a tsunami, the agency said. Indonesia sits on the Pacific "ring of fire" and is frequently struck by powerful earthquakes.
