A 6.8-magnitude earthquake rocked Indonesia's eastern isles of Maluku on Sunday, dpa reported. The quake struck at 10:05 pm (1505 GMT). It's epicentre was located 161 kilometers north-west of the island of Ternate, North Maluku, at a depth of 88 kilometres, Indonesia's Meteorology, Geophysics and Climatology Agency said. No immediate damage or casualties were reported. No tsunami warning was issued by the authorities. Indonesia sits on the Pacific "ring of fire" and is frequently struck by powerful earthquakes.
