Former Algerian President Bendjedid Dies

AlQa'dah 20, 1433, Oct 6, 2012, SPA -- Former Algerian President Chadli Bendjedid died on Saturday at the age of 83 from cancer, dpa cited the country's official APS news agency as reporting.
Bendjedid who was president from 1979 to 1992, died at Ain Naadja military hospital in Algiers, APS said. He was admitted to hospital over a week ago.
