AlQa'dah 16, 1433, Oct 2, 2012, SPA -- The complete skeleton of a Siberian woolly mammoth fetched 200,000 euros (257,290 dollars) at a Sotheby's auction in Paris Tuesday, dpa reported. The skeleton, which is 3.5 metres in height and 3.4 metres long, was snapped up by a telephone bidder. Dinosaur bones, eggs and muscles also went under the hammer, dpa reported. The woolly mammoth, the biggest land mammal to have roamed the earth, lived from about 120,000 to 4,000 years ago, during the last Ice Age. They are closely related to the Indian elephant. The skeleton was put up for sale by the Kashiwagi museum in Japan. -- SPA
