AlQa'dah 15, 1433, Oct 1, 2012, SPA - The Indian army says it raided a rebel hideout and killed five suspected insurgents in a gunbattle in the disputed Himalayan territory of Kashmir. Army spokesman Col. Brijesh Pandey says the army suffered no casualties during fighting Monday in Ganderbal region, nearly 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of Srinagar, the main city of the Indian portion of Kashmir, according to AP. Several rebel groups are fighting Indian rule. None have issued statements on the incident and the army account could not be independently verified.
