AlQa'dah 8, 1433, Sep 24, 2012, SPA -- Majlis Al-Shura has extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the royal family and the Saudi people on the 82nd anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This came at outset of the 54th session of Majlis Al-Shura presided over by its Vice Speaker Dr. Mohammed bin Ameen Al-Jeffry. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the meeting, Dr. Fahd bin Metad Al-Hamad, Assistant Speaker of Majlis Al-Shura, said that the council approved recommendations submitted for discussion that the Ministry of Hajj will have to put, in collaboration with the concerned bodies, an executive plan to increase the area capacity of Mina holy place within specific timetables provided that the necessary financial support for that end be appropriated. Majlis Al-Shura approved that the Hajj Accommodation and Touring Agencies for abroad pilgrims are responsible for providing housing for pilgrims. Al-Shura council also approved a recommendation that the Ministry of Hajj is to coordinate with the General Authority of Civil Aviation to benefit from Taif Airport as a port for entrance and departure of pilgrims and Umrah (minor pilgrimage) performers in order to ease the pressure on the Jeddah-based King Abdulaziz International Airport. --More
