AlQa'dah 1, 1433, Sep 17, 2012, SPA - The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, inaugurated here today National Symposium for the Introduction of Trade Agreement in Services held in cooperation with the World Trade Organization (WTO). Addressing the three-day Symposium, Dr. Al-Rabiah said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been fulfilling its commitments to the World Trade Organization and its Member States emanating from its belief in the importance of joint works and cooperation and its desire to maximize its gains from joining the Organization to achieve further development and support the strength of Saudi economy. He noted that the Kingdom has been one of few pioneering countries, which made many commitments in several sub-service sectors including 120 out of a total of 160 sub-service sectors according to the Central Product Classification prepared by the United Nations and approved for works under the Agreement on Trade in Services, for the liberalization of trade in services.
