Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired here today the cabinet session held at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah. At the outset of the meeting, Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom's appreciation of the efforts exerted by the leaders, presidents and heads of delegations who participated in the Islamic Solidarity Summit in Makkah, stressing that the spirit of Islamic brotherhood, harmony and frankness that prevailed the summit reflected the joint keenness of the Islamic leaders to promote Islamic solidarity in all dimensions. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, said the Cabinet extended congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the success of the conference which adopted the proposal of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to establish a center for dialogue among Islamic sects, to reach common terms and accredit Makkah charter to promote Islamic solidarity. The Cabinet listened to a number of reports on the latest developments at regional and international arenas, wishing the new envoy of the United Nations and Arab League Al-Akhdar Al-Ibrahimi success in this mission to find a solution ending all acts of violence and stopping the bloodshed of the Syrian people. The Cabinet lauded the final communiqué of the 124th GCC Ministerial Meeting of the GCC Foreign Ministers whereas the statement included decisions supporting the march of the GCC joint action in all fields, and dealt with the latest developments at the regional and international arenas. --More
