The Gulf Partnership and Investment Forum will be held here next Tuesday. The three-day forum will be organized by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in cooperation with the Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCCs). The forum will be attended by a number of officials, experts, academicians, researchers and economists from the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and other countries of the world. The forum will have a series of working sessions to discuss three main themes: partnership and investment in the industry sector, partnership and investment in the tourism sector and various investment opportunities in Dhofar, according to a report of Oman News Agency (ONA). A number of bilateral meetings will also be held on the sidelines of the forum to discuss strengthening relations among participants both at the local and Gulf levels. The forum comes in implementation of plans and programmes adapted by the FGCCCs last year in Kuwait in a bid to encourage investment in the GCC countries through reviewing the available investment opportunities in different sectors and introducing the facilities and benefits provided by the GCC governments for the private sector.
