The Arab League announced that Arab Foreign Ministers will hold an extraordinary meeting in Jeddah tomorrow to discuss the situation in Syria before the convention of Islamic Solidarity Summit in Makkah on Tuesday and Wednesday. The League's Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Ahmed Bin Helli, said in a statement today that the meeting will discuss a successor to Kofi Annan, Joint UN-Arab League Envoy to Syria, following his resignation, noting that the League's Secretary General, Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, will travel to Saudi Arabia today to participate in the meeting and to attend the Islamic Solidarity Summit.
