Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, Secretary General of Arab League, will head today for Brussels to participate in the conference of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) Partners. In a statement, the Arab League official said that Dr. Al-Arabi will sign on the sidelines of the UNRWA conference a memorandum of understanding between the Arab League and Energy Charter which includes a number of European and Arab countries on cooperation in the field of new and renewable energy. The Arab League's official said that Dr. Al-Arabi will then depart to Geneva to meet with the United Nations-Arab League joint envoy to Syria Kofi Annan to discuss with him the latest developments of the Syrian crisis, the results of his visit to Syria and the Syrian government's response to his proposals.
