A Missouri mosque has burned to the ground during the second fire at the Islamic center in just over a month, local authorities said Monday. The Jasper County Sheriff's Office said the Islamic Society of Joplin center was destroyed in the fire early Monday. No injuries have been reported, and no charges have been filed. According to the Associated Press, roughly 50 families belong to the society, which opened in 2007 as a mosque and community center. A fire burned at the same building on July 4 that caused minor damage. That fire was determined arson, but no arrests were made. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) offered a $15,000 reward for information leading to charges in that fire.
