Two police officers and a civilian were killed in a bomb blast at a bazaar in northern Afghanistan, dpa cited police as saying on Saturday. "The bomb placed in a pot exploded at a crowded bazaar in Ghormach district of Faryab province when the civilians and cops were buying food," said Abdul Khaleq Aqsay, police chief of the Faryab province. Police said the blast was caused by a remote-controlled bomb. The incident took place late Friday afternoon, when people head to markets to buy food for iftar, the meal that breaks the daily fast. He blamed militants for the bombing.
