The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has started distributing 10,000 food packets among poor families, widows and orphans in Makkah region during Ramadan. Khaled Habbani, deputy supervisor of WAMY's domestic program, said: “We cooperate with 60 charitable institutions to distribute these food packets among the poor and needy in all cities and villages of the region." He said the packets would contain basic food such as rice, sugar, milk, flour, cooking oil and macaroni sufficient for a family to use during the holy month, according to a press statement published today. WAMY's food packets will reach deserving people in Dhahban, Al-Laith, Qunfudah, Khulais, Thuwal, Ghamika, Wadi Hulay, Bani Yazid, Rabigh, Mastura and Hejal.
