Afghanistan's minister for higher education survived a roadside bomb Sunday in the northern region of the country, police said. "Minister Obaidullah Obaid accompanied by national police was heading to Kunduz province for an official visit when a roadside bomb hit his convoy in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of Baghlan province," Maghlan-e-Markzai police chief Kamin said. Two policemen in the convoy were injured, but the minister was unscathed, he was quoted as saying by DPA.
