Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) said that a royal approval has been issued on the Commission's request to register the sites of rocky drawings in Jibbah and Shuwaimis, Hail Region, on World Heritage List of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The Prince has expressed his thanks to and appreciation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the royal approval which comes within the framework of the support and care provided by the State for national heritage as a major source to preserve the Kingdom's history and to highlight its civilization. It is noteworthy that the Commission has registered two Saudi sites on UNESCO World Heritage List, namely Al-Hijir Site (Madain Saleh) in 2008 and historical Dir'iya in 2010, and the registration of historical Jeddah site is currently underway.
