A train carrying on-board 332 passengers en route from Dammam to Riyadh derailed today, leading to injuries of some passengers and its crew, but no death is reported in the incident. In a statement issued by Saudi Railroads Organization, Acting Director of the Organization's Public Relations Department, Mohammed Yasin Bo Hulaiqah, pointed out that the train's locomotive and three carriages turned over, noting that the injuries ranged between light-ones and bruises, indicating that all passengers were transferred to a modern train and they arrived at Riyadh station, except for one injured passenger suffering from bruises, who was transferred by an air ambulance to a hospital in Riyadh. He noted that the incident whose causes have not yet been known took place in a desert area, 70 kilometers away from Riyadh, indicating that the incident led to the closure of the railway track and the suspension of all trips from Riyadh today.
