The Undersecretary of Ministry of Education for Boys Education Affairs, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Barrak, said that the ratio of illiteracy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been currently brought down to 4%, compared to the ratio before 40 years, which had accounted for more than 65%. Dr. Al-Barrak made this disclosure yesterday during his visit to schools conducting illiteracy campaigns in Tabuk region. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Education holds annually programs for illiteracy in summer seasons.
