Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mohammed Namadi Sambo received at the presidential residence here late last night Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, currently on a visit to Nigeria. During the meeting, Prince Abdulaziz handed over to the Vice President a written message from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the President of Nigeria. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs also conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the government and people of Nigeria, emphasizing that his current visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, and open the way for a broader relations. For his part, the Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria welcomed Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and the accompanying delegation. The Vice-President said the Government and people of Nigeria deeply appreciate the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi people as well as the leading role played by Saudi Arabia in the Islamic world. During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest and ways to support and strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries was discussed. It was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Abuja, Khalid bin Omar Abed Rabbo, and a number of officials.
