Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs and who is also chairman of the current session of the GCC Ministerial Council, arrived here today. At Heathrow International Airport, Prince Saud was received by Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi ambassador to the United Kingdom, and a number of officials. During the visit, Prince Saud Al-Faisal and British Foreign Secretary William Hague will co-chair the joint ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United Kingdom, scheduled to take place in London on Thursday. The meeting will be attended by Foreign Ministers of GCC countries and the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani. The meeting will discuss relations between the GCC and the United Kingdom and explore ways of enhancing cooperation in various fields as well as other regional and international issues of common interest.
