China To Provide $ 448 Million For Pakistan's Hydropower Project

The China EXIM Bank will provide $448 million to help complete strategically important 969 MW-Neelum Jhelum Hydropower Project (NJHP), the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
In yet another significant development, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has also approved revised PC-I of the project amounting to 274.882 billion Pakistani Rupee.
This was disclosed at a meeting presided over by Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) Chairman Shakil Durrani, which was convened to review progress on the project, being constructed on Neelum River, APP reported.
