France will propose a new, tougher package of sanctions on Syria, Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said Wednesday. According to dpa, "we must increase pressure on the regime in Damascus by increasing sanctions. I will contact my European colleagues and the US to propose and adopt a new set of even harder sanctions, targeting not only the Syrian Regime but cadres of the army and all those who support Assad," Fabius said.
