A paramilitary trooper was killed and six more were injured after Maoist rebels triggered a landmine blast and then opened fire on the troops in India's eastern state of Bihar on Sunday, a news report said. According to dpa, the attack, targeting a team of Central Reserve Police Force, occurred in a forested area in the southern district of Gaya, CRPF official Umesh Kumar told the IANS news agency. Unconfirmed reports said some rebels were killed in the gun battle, but their bodies had not been recovered yet.
