Syrian troops Sunday shelled the restive province of Homs, reported an opposition group. The troops were also using heavy weapons in attacking several areas in Homs, which is a key opposition stronghold, said the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. At least two civilians were killed in the onslaught as reconnaissance planes were seen flying over the area, said the Observatory, according to a report of DPA.
