Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, strongly condemned the brutal massacre that claimed the lives of dozens of children, women and men in the Syrian town of Houla in which artillery, tanks and heavy weapons were used to bombard the city. In a press release distributed today, the Secretary General condemned the terrible offenses committed during the massacre of slaughtering children after they were handcuffed and killing innocent citizens, stressing that the perpetrators of these crimes have been stripped of all human values, ??religious principles and teachings of Islam that protect the sanctity of human life and call for (humanity's) protection, and prohibit the killing of the innocent people or causing harm to them. Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu called for punishing the perpetrators of these crimes, stressing the primary responsibility of the Syrian government in maintaining the security and safety of the Syrian people.
