Pakistan has opened its Haj mission office in the Kingdom. Bahrullah Hazarvi, Haj director in the Pakistani Embassy, inaugurated the mission office at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah Saturday. With 150 staff members, who will work in three shifts to help Haj pilgrims, the office will remain open round the clock. “The mission workers will guide pilgrims in routine clearance and provide all possible facilities to them,” said Hazarvi. He told Saudi Gazette that staff members at the airport include Saudi officials who will help contact officials at the Ministry of Haj and Moassassah Southeast Asia and inform them of the details of the incoming pilgrims. They will also help contact Haj Transport Syndicate officials to send the required number of buses to Jeddah airport. Hazarvi said that the staff members will make it a point to carefully hand over the passports of the pilgrims to the drivers of the buses carrying them to Makkah. They will also approach Moassassah representatives to arrange for the pilgrims' stay in the buildings earmarked for them by the Haj Mission Office in Makkah. Hazarvi expressed his satisfaction with the arrangements after a thorough inspection. He later inaugurated a dispensary at the airport, which will be manned by six doctors, two each in shift duties along with paramedics to attend the sick pilgrims. An ambulance will remain on stand-by and severe cases will be sent to King Fahad Hospital in Jeddah, the ambassador said. Hazarvi expressed his appreciation for the services of the chairman of Moassassah Southeast Asia Adnan Katib for his cooperation with the Pakistan Haj Mission and for providing all possible facilities to the pilgrims.
