RIYADH — Black Caps amassed an astonishing 304 runs, the highest total in the American Express T20 Tournament, organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA) and sponsored by American Express.
Al-Kharaj League
KFSH Blues defeated Falcons by 8 wickets. Batting first, Falcons scored 170-7. Farhan (47), Saleem (42) and Manzoor (36) were the key contributors.
Iftikhar and Jabar picked up 2 wickets each. Thanks to a master-class knock from Nadeem Babar who lifted KFSH Blues to the target in just 14.3 overs.
He remained unbeaten on 99 off just 46 balls. Nasir Abbasi scored a quick 32. Pak Shaheen beat Lahore Lions by 8 runs. Opting to bat first, Pak Shaheen's Javed smashed 77, Faisal 47 and Ateeq 31 to post a decent total of 207. In reply, Lahore Lions were restricted to 199. Ateeq took 4 wickets, Faisal 3 and Abuzer 2.
Lahore Badshah thrashed Sama Steel by 5 wickets. Sama Steel recorded 199-9. Raja top-scored with 91, Qaiser made 41. Fahad claimed 3 wickets, while Imran and Mudassir got 2 each.
Lahore Badshah chased down the target in 16.3 overs. Fahad played a brilliant knock of 87. Imran made 40 and Mudassir 33. Abdul Rahman was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets.
Riyadh Aces lost to Shuraim by 3 wickets. Riyadh Aces put on 221 through Rizwan (67), Imran (51) and Omer (40). Jonty and Abbas took 2 wickets each. Shuraim got to the target in 19.1 overs. Jonty also excelled with the bat scoring 70 runs. Sami hit 41. Khalid took 3 wickets.
Diriyah League
Black Caps thrashed ULCC by 146 runs. Black Caps scored 304. Nazar and Kashif hammered ULCC bowlers all around the park. Nazar scored 115 off 43 balls and Kashif made 90 from 41 balls. Sajid took 2 wickets. ULCC was bowled out for 158. Shaji and Azad scored 25 runs each. Kashif and Sajid claimed 3 wickets each.
Youngsters-XI lost a thriller to Nouman Gymkhana by 8 runs. Batting first, Nouman Gymkhana put on 235. Youngsters-XI fought hard but was restricted to 227.
Haider top-scored with 81 and Zahid made 50. Asgher took 2 wickets. AKCC Blue downed Rising Stars by 57 runs. AKCC Blue collected 221.
Faisal top-scored with 74, while Mohsin and Jahangir scored 37 and 33, respectively. Abid took 2 wickets. Rising Stars managed to score 164 only.
Izhar made a quick 55 and Raheel 32. Mohsin picked up 4 wickets. Brothers-XI lost to Delhi Dare Devils by 84 runs. Delhi Dare Devils tallied 239.
Sami scored 79, while Naveed and Nizam made 44 each. Brothers-XI fumbled to 155. Ali scored a fifty (59).
Seham defeated Royal Strikers by 7 wickets. Royal Strikers collected 148. Ali took 2 wickets. Seham rushed to the target in just 10.2 overs tghrough Nassir (55), Waseem (33), Fayaz (31).
Saudi Zaas lost to Professionals Creation by 82 runs. Professionals Creation scored 168. Shafi and Asim made 57 and 34, respectively. Muzafar took 3 wickets.
Ilyaz and Moin claimed 2 each. Saudi Zaas batting failed completely and was all out for just 86. Dileep's spinning deliveries claimed 5 victims, while Naushad took 2.
Naz thumped Challengers XI by 110 runs. Naz compiled a massive total of 239-9. Guru took 3 wickets. Challengers-XI was bundled out for just 129. Shamsu top-scored with 25.
Sahara Net was downed by Al-Momen by a huge margin of 144 runs. Al-Momen put on 214-7. Adeel played a stylish innings of 80 and Mujahid mustered 45. Sulaiman picked up 4 wickets, while Umair grabbed 2. Sahara Net was all out for 70 — the lowest total of the tournament.
