ABHA — Saudi Royal Air Force planes carried the bodies of two soldiers who were killed in Friday's border shelling to their native towns for burial, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Saturday.
Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, ordered two aircraft from the fleet of the Aviation Security General Command to transport the bodies of Cprl. Ahmed Jafar Al-Majaishi and private Muhammad Ali Al-Omari to Bariq and Al-Qunfudhah governorates.
Al-Majashi and Al-Omari were among three soldiers killed by heavy shelling on the Border Guard's Al-Misyal center in Dhahran Al-Janoub.
Seven other border guards were also wounded as a barrage of rockets crashed into the region from across the border.
In the neighboring region of Jazan, a paramilitary fighter was killed and another wounded in shelling from the Yemeni side of the border, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.
