RIYADH – A Saudi soldier was killed Thursday morning while carrying out a patrol duty in a border region in Jazan province, an Interior Ministry spokesman said. The patrol team for the Border Guard catering services came under fire at around 8 a.m. at Jallah in Al-Harth Sector, the spokesman said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency.
A military projectile killed the team's commander, Private First Class Gharbi Rajeh Al-Hassan Al-Majaishi, he said. — SG/SPA
