The Saudi Gazette had visited the Advantech headquarters in Taipei as part of the recent media tour.
An Advantech official said that in Saudi Arabia, King Khaled University in Riyadh has selected Advantech solution to be implemented in its hospital. “This system is AMiS-50 integrated medical cart with a PDC-W215 display. The AMiS-50 integrated medical cart features an ergonomic and seamless design for ease of use, easy maintenance, and effective infection control,” he said.
It has a motorized lifter which adjusts height electrically and big casters to navigate the different floor types in the hospital. The advanced battery keeps it safe and in service throughout the day, he explained.
Another Advantech solution for the hospitals is the PIT-1503W is a good system to entertain patients and keep them away from boredom. PIT-1503W –equipped with a 15.6" multi-function touchscreen, WiFi, RFID, handset, smart card reader and 2 megapixel camera – can provide patients with various entertainment programs such as TV, movies or computer games because of Microsoft Wiindows and Intel Atom Dual Core processor. Patients can easily communicate with families by Internet because 2 megapixel camera, WiFi and Ethernet (RJ-45) connectivity are standard functions of PIT-1503W. Likewise, identification recognition for both hospital staff and patients is possible with the RFID and smart card reader.
Moreover, one of the company recent innovation is RadiForce – a full line EZIO medical monitor solutions that take full account of medical institutions. This innovation could help to reduce the mistakes of surgeries before leaving the surgery room since every part is shown clearly in the monitors.
