Mobily offers pilgrims special bundles for SR99
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 22 - 11 - 2009

Mobily is giving pilgrims phone lines for SR99 - and is throwing in a mobile phone. Mobily said it is offering the bundle in cooperation with one of its partners, Axiom Telecom. The SIM in the bundle is a Rihal line, which is especially formulated for the Kingdom's visitors.
The bundle is available at every Mobily outlet in the holy sites in Makkah and Madina, and at all airports. The phone is a simple, highly portable device that is easy to store along with the pilgrims' personal belongings.
Mobily also launched the Nusuk service, which aims to help pilgrims along while they carry out their Haj rites.
Available in several languages, including Arabic, English and French, the service incorporates special software that walks pilgrims through the religious rites of Haj and Umrah on a step-by-step basis. The software also includes basic information about Makkah, Madina and Jeddah, including contact information for hotels and government organizations, as well as consulates, hospitals, shopping centers, Haj and Umrah agencies, restaurants and recreational centers.
There is also a facility to find prayer times, currency exchange rates, and a tracking system to keep track of how many times they have marched around the holy Ka'aba. The program also provides live news feeds.
The service costs only SR10 per month.
Mobily had created many promotions and services for this year's Haj. The company had announced earlier this month that its network is fully ready to accommodate millions of simultaneous national and international phone calls. Also, the company had Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah covered with a free WiFi network that can be used by everyone within these areas.
The company said that its sales points around the Holy Mosque, along with those at King Abdul Aziz and Prince Mohammed Bin Abdul Aziz airports in Jeddah and Madina, and those at all seaports and border crossings, are fully prepared to cater to the needs of pilgrims.
Mobily haas launched recently iPhone 3GS in the Kingdom, with a range of 3G tariff plans tailored for iPhone customers.
The iPhone 3GS is the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet, packed with incredible new features including improved speed and performance - up to twice as fast as iPhone 3G - with longer battery life, a high-quality 3 megapixel auto focus camera, easy to use video recording and hands free voice control.
iPhone 3GS includes iPhone OS 3.1, the world's most advanced mobile operating system with many features.
