BURAIDAH — The mother of a young woman has been making desperate calls to everyone she knew to help her find her daughter who went missing from her home on July 17, the day of Eid Al-Fitr. The woman recounted how her daughter suddenly disappeared in front of her eyes. The distraught mother said she and her daughter came home together after Eid prayer. They then planned to visit the girl's grandmother and came out of the their house to take a car that was parked right in front of the door. "I do not know what happened. She just disappeared before we got into the car. There was no trace of her since then," she said. Asked if she noted another car nearby, the unidentified mother replied in the negative. "I have not seen any other car near the house. Everything was absolutely normal," she said. The mother said she was particularly worried because her daughter was grown up. "She is 21 years old and is studying in college," the mother said. The mother and her daughter were living in a village in the west of Qassim Province. The family reported the case to the nearest police station. Questioned why the young woman was still not located even though she had been missing for more than 10 days, a police spokesman said they had intensified the search. "We are still working to solve this mystery behind the disappearance of a young woman," he added.
