Eastern Province police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl from her fa smily home in Al-Khobar last Wednesday. Abdulrahman Ahmad, the girl's father, said he took his sister, a high-school student to a mall and left his daughter at home to do her homework. When he returned half an hour later, his daughter had disappeared. Ahmad's sons were of the view that the girl had also gone to the mall along with her father. “I am sure that my daughter has been kidnapped,” the father said, adding that there were some workers outside the house who saw her running outside. The distraught father said that his sister was once almost kidnapped by a drunk person but neighbors saved her and beat the culprit. “A family reported the disappearance of a girl from their home in Al-Khobar,” said the spokesman of the Eastern Province. An investigation is under way, he said. __
