The young man who was injured while saving a group of children from the flames of fireworks receiving treatment at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Taif. — Okaz photo TAIF — A young man sustained a fracture in his skull and burns in his left eye and several other parts of his body while trying to save a group of children from the sparks of fireworks. Taif Health Affairs deputy spokesman Aidha Al-Hathli said the victim was taken to King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital where he was undergoing an eye surgery. The spokesman said there was a drop in the number of patients who sought treatment in the emergency room for injuries caused by fireworks this year. In 2014, four people died from injuries they sustained during fireworks while 40 others were treated for various injuries.
