The source added the prisoners have been arrested for being involved in a variety of crimes. “Many of the prisoners were involved in the Al-Dalwah shootout in November 2014. The police arrested 130 Yemenis and 59 Syrians on suspicion of being involved in the terrorist attack. Some were sentenced and others are still under investigation,” said the source. The source added that many of the non-Saudi prisoners are also involved with Daesh. “Some are serving their sentence and others await the judge's final verdict. All cases entailing violations of public rights are submitted to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution. For those who are waiting for their verdict, the police detain them in jail until a sentence is issued,” said the source.
