JEDDAH — The Jeddah Penal Court on Monday sentenced two Saudi men to prison and banned them from traveling for joining the terrorist organization Daesh. The court reported that the first man traveled to Syria illegally and joined Daesh where he was trained. He also married a foreign woman illegally. The court handed him a two-year jail term and a two-year travel ban after his release. The court also reported the second man traveled to Syria via Turkey where he joined Daesh, trained with them and gave them his passport. He was preliminarily sentenced to seven years in prison and banned from travel for 10 years after his release from prison. Both men have 30 days to appeal the sentence.
