RIYADH — A Saudi man was preliminarily sentenced to 11 years in prison on Tuesday for joining terrorist groups in Yemen and helping young citizens go to the war-torn country to fight. The court heard how the man infiltrated Yemen after helping a number of Saudi men also enter the country. The man purchased weapons and was being trained in Yemen by Al-Qaeda terrorists there. The court also reported he was fined SR10,000 for forging a Yemeni national identity card and banned from travel for 11 years after he serves his time in prison.
