TAIF — Eight people, including a Civil Defense officer, suffered from smoke inhalation in Al-Hawaya District of Taif. Civil Defense spokesman Nasser Al-Sharif said the fire broke out in a ground-floor apartment of a two-story building. Civil Defense firefighters extinguished the fire. Five of the victims were taken to King Faisal Hospital while the other three victims, including the Civil Defense officer, were treated on the spot.
