Majed Al-Nifaee Okaz/Saudi Gazette TAIF – Sixteen people suffered from smoke inhalation on Thursday morning after a fire broke out in a three-floor building in Taif. Civil Defense fighters had to evacuate all the people in the building. The fire started inside a bedroom on the first floor and spread throughout the apartment while smoke enveloped the whole building. The spokesman for the Civil Defense in Taif said the fire reached some couches in the living room and caused a lot of smoke. Nine people were rushed to hospital while seven were treated on site. The spokesman called on the general public to purchase fire extinguishers and keep them at home.
