Customs officials at King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah foiled an attempt to smuggle 1.7 kilograms of cocaine hidden inside the stomach of an expatriate passenger. This is the largest quantity of cocaine seized by the Saudi Customs, according to officials. An x-ray examination showed that the passenger had swallowed 150 capsules containing cocaine. Head of Customs Department at the airport Muhammad Al-Aqeel said Customs officials are well-trained to foil such smuggling attempts. — By Mishal Al-Otaibi/Saudi Gazette
