Saudi-born expats are entitled to permanent residency

With regard to the post "Give long-term Saudi-born expats citizenship" (May 28), thousands of people strongly agree with this issue. Expatriates who were born in Saudi Arabia should be entitled to live here in a dignified manner. The least the Saudi government can do is to grant them permanent residency based upon certain requirements. Expatriates born in this country love this land, its culture and its environment more than their own countries. Saudi-born expats deserve permanent residency so that they do not have to worry about renewing their iqama (residence permit) every year.
