JEDDAH — A man was found unconscious next to a woman who had been strangled to death on Wednesday. Makkah Police spokesman Lt. Gen. Ati Al-Qurashi said the police found the victim and her alleged killer inside a parked car in Al-Waziriyah District. The woman was a 31-year-old divorcee who was in an unlawful relationship with the man. The man had passed out after getting drunk. Officers also found a plastic rope tied around the woman's neck and no signs of a struggle. The woman's body was taken to the morgue and the man taken to hospital. Police also said the victim's family had reported her disappearance the night before and officers found in the suspect's phone what is believed to be a picture of him with the victim's two children.
