RIYADH — Two people were arrested and sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison for attempting to smuggle eight missiles from Yemen to Saudi Arabia on Sunday. The Penal Court reported the men were a Yemeni and a Saudi. They planned to bomb the American Consulate in Jeddah and had a record of supporting terrorist acts inside and outside the Kingdom. The Saudi man was initially sentenced to 13 years imprisonment and banned from travel for the same amount of time after his release. The Yemeni man was initially sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment and will be deported from the Kingdom. He will only have the right to return to perform pilgrimage.
