JEDDAH — With the support of the ministries of education and labor, provider of practical jobs and entrepreneurship programs Injaz-Saudi Arabia was honored recently at the annual meeting of the regional governing organization Injaz Al-Arab.

The three awards received by Injaz-Saudi Arabia put it in fifth place among equivalent organizations in 127 countries around the world in terms of the quality of programs in the areas of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and workforce readiness that aim to prepare elementary, middle school, high school and university students to deal with life's demands.

This is achieved by developing their personal and practical skills and training them in workshops led by private sector volunteers.

INJAZ-Saudi Arabia's mission is dedicated to inspiring and preparing Saudi youth to succeed in a global, knowledge-based economy with a vision of delivering pioneering and hands-on programs to 250,000 Saudi students nationwide by 2018 in partnership with the business community, ministries, educators and volunteers.

Akef Aqrabawi, deputy chief executive officer of Injaz Al-Arab, congratulated members of Injaz-Saudi Arabia for winning three awards.

He said: “The Saudi team has proved the ability in creating jobs and offering entrepreneurial opportunities for their youth.”

Commenting on the awards, Nael Samir Fayez, board member and CEO of Injaz Saudi Arabia, said the program confirms his organization's dedication to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through hands-on programs.

“We are very proud to receive such outstanding awards and we definitely feel honored to support the youth of the country and provide them with necessary skills and knowledge that will enable them to successfully enter the job market,” he added.

Injaz Al-Arab, operating in 14 countries across the Middle East and North Africa, is the only non-profit organization in the region that harnesses the mentorship of business leaders to help inspire a culture of entrepreneurship and business innovation among Arab youth.

Named one of the top 100 NGOs in the world by Global Journal for two consecutive years (2012, 2013), it has influenced the lives of over 1.5 million students since its inception in 2004.

Partnering with leading companies in the private sector, Injaz Al-Arab equips Arab youth to drive the economies of the Arab World forward through training designed to inspire them to develop ambition, entrepreneurship and professional skills.

Injaz Al-Arab is a member of Junior Achievement; the world's largest and fastest-growing youth business organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential and hands-on programs.
