BANGALORE — Royal Challengers Bangalore routed Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by a whopping margin of 138 runs in the 2015 Indian Premier League (IPL) here Wednesday.
After posting a mammoth score of 226-3, powered by a brutal ton by Chris Gayle, Bangalore pace bowlers ran through Punjab skittling it out for 88.
Gayle hit his fifth IPL ton — 117 in just 57 balls with seven fours and 12 sixes. Kohli and Gayle added 119 for the opening wicket before Kings XI Punjab struck dismissing Kohli. AB de Villiers came in and got going hitting an unbeaten 47 to give company to Gayle.
