Published in The Saudi Gazette on 27 - 04 - 2014

ABU DHABI — Kings-XI Punjab remained unbeaten in the 7th edition of the Indian Premier League with fourth straight victory in as many matches by making short work of Kolkata Knight Riders by 23 runs at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here Saturday.
Punjab thus sits pretty at the top of the table.
On a surface where the Royal Challengers Bangalore was bowled out for 70 earlier in the day, Gautam Gambhir won the toss and chose to bowl. And it wasn't Glenn Maxwell who lit up the arena this time, but a combined effort, led by Virender Sehwag's 37, helped make 132-9.
Kolkata was then regularly dented by wickets during its run-chase to be all out for 109 in 18.2 overs.
Brief scores: Kings XI Punjab 132 for 9 in 20 overs (Virender Sehwag 37; Piyush Chawla 3 for 19, Sunil Narine 3 for 24). Kolkata Knight Riders 109 in 18.2 overs (Suryakumar Yadav 34; Sandeep Sharma 3 for 21, Mitchell Johnson 2 for 22, Akshar Patel 2 for 16).
Rajasthan humbles Bangalore
Rajasthan Royals bundled out Royal Challengers Bangalore for just 70 and coasted home by losing four wickets.
Pravin Tambe (4-20) and Kane Richardson (2-18) cleaned up the formidable Bangalore batting for the lowest total of the IPL 7 so far.
