Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman administered the oath of office to Minister of Economy and Planning Adel Fakeih, Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubair, Minister of State and Cabinet Member Khalid Al-Issa, Minister of Labor Mufrej Al-Haqbani, and Minister of Health Khaled Al-Falih at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday. King Salman also received Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdullatif Al-Zayani. — SPA Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The Council of Ministers on Monday thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his efforts to serve the religion and the homeland, especially his recent royal decrees appointing Prince Muhammad Bin Naif as crown prince and deputy premier and Prince Muhammad Bin Salman as deputy crown prince and second deputy premier. The weekly session of the Cabinet, chaired by King Salman at Al-Yamamah Palace here, emphasized that the royal decrees showed the King's keenness in serving the interests of the nation and its future in the best manner. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Culture and Information Adel Al-Turaifi said the King welcomed the new crown prince and deputy crown prince as well as the new ministers and officials, wishing them every success in discharging their responsibilities in the new positions. The King expressed pride over the services rendered by Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz, former crown prince, to the nation with honesty and sincerity. The King also thanked the former princes, ministers and officials for their commendable efforts in serving the nation. King Salman welcomed leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on the occasion of the 15th annual consultative meeting to be held in Riyadh on Tuesday. Al-Turaifi said the Cabinet thanked the King for his decision to correct the legal status of Yemeni expatriates, stressing that this directive is another proof of the Kingdom's stand toward the Yemeni government and people by supporting them and easing their burden in difficult circumstances. The Cabinet also welcomed the appointment of Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed as new envoy of the UN secretary general to Yemen, wishing him every success in his mission and endeavors. The Cabinet decided to reduce the price of aviation fuel by 15 halalas per liter at Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport and Riyadh's King Khaled International Airport, and by 20 halalas per liter at other airports in the Kingdom. The Cabinet tasked Saudi Aramco with reducing the aviation fuel prices. Airlines operating at the Kingdom's airports will benefit from the new price reduction.
