MAKKAH — Seven people, all from the same family, were injured when a fire started at the basement of an apartment building in the Bat'haa Quraish neighborhood. Teams from the Civil Defense arrived at the location to battle the blaze and rescue the family. According to firefighters, the fire started from the basement where furniture and other flammable materials were stored together. Civil Defense officials said the seven victims suffered from smoke inhalation. They were rushed to Al-Noor Hospital. The Civil Defense is still investigating the cause of the fire.
